Dr. Justin A. Karl

Dr. Karl, a New Jersey native, received his BS from Penn State and earned his medical degree at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency training and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center, where he was awarded the honor of Chief Fellow.
He takes an integrative and holistic approach to his patient care, focusing on health of the patient as a whole and not just their disease. He has a passion for heart disease prevention and reversal through lifestyle modification. His interest in lifestyle programs has led to him being interviewed on national radio regarding the importance of diet, exercise and stress reduction in reducing ones risk of heart disease.

Dr. Karl’s strong focus on cardiovascular education in the community allowed him to serve as the Vice President of the American Heart Associations’ Fellows Society. In that capacity he worked on passing a bill that requires the teaching of CPR to all high school students as well as creating a public service starring Dr. Oz regarding the importance of CPR.
Dr. Karl is board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Integrative and Holistic Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Vascular Imaging.
He currently resides in Bergen County with his wife and three children. While not at work, he enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family and is currently training his oldest son to be a future Olympic athlete, albeit unsuccessfully.
